Firostefani is a peaceful caldera settlement with a spectacular view of the volcano. Situated above Fira, the two areas connect via a picturesque alleyway that eventually converges on the top-view Calderimi path. The route arrives in Firostefani and continues onwards to Imerovigli and Oia.
Characterized by chic hotels dressed in white, winding pathways and caldera steps, Firostefani is the quiet alternative to Fira. Easy access to the busy capital make it the ideal place to stay. Late afternoons and sunset time are a romantic affair; the few traditional tavernas, cafes and restaurants along a cobbled walkway offer the perfect place to relax and drink in the view.
A short walk up the caldera path brings to you to the next settlement, Imerovigli, with another selection of cafes and restaurants, and the famous Skaros Rock.
Firostefani is connected to the Fira-Oia hiking trail that runs along the Caldera cliffs.
